Fortnite’s Marty McFly skin may not feature this iconic Back To The Future item

A Fortnite Marty McFly skin is my dream collaboration, aside from James Bond or Foo Fighters hitting the Festival Stage. There’s one perfect movie in cinema history, and it’s undoubtedly Back To The Future. I can gush about it for hours, but the bottom line is that Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly is the coolest movie character ever – and he’s exceptionally dripped up. However, there’s a chance the Marty McFly Fortnite skin won’t feature a legendary element.

When I think of Marty McFly, there’s one thing that comes to mind. Not his red gillet, the Gibson ES-335 he borrows, or his double denim outfit. It’s those heavily worn-in Nike Bruin shoes. The simplicity of the white and red colorway is unbeatable, and I wish these shoes were more widely available in real life. Well, initial Fortnite leaks for Marty’s Fortnite skin don’t appear to feature these shoes, let alone the Nike MAG sneakers from Back To The Future Part 2.

However, we could be in for a treat when it comes to the latter. In a recent post on social media, prominent scooper ‘SamLeakss‘ claims that “Marty’s Nike shoes [are] confirmed for next season.” Accompanying the post is an image of the Nike MAG shoes, rather than the iconic pair of white Bruins. Given how accurate the leaker’s past claims can be, it seems specific that they’d opt to showcase the MAG shoes on this occasion. But could the Bruin shoes still make an appearance?

Well, we know so far that Marty McFly is part of the forthcoming Battle Pass, alongside Kill Bill’s The Bride. It isn’t uncommon for Epic Games to craft a few themed items for each key character that headlines the latest batch of cosmetics. Just look at how great The Simpsons Battle Pass is for that. It’s possible the Bruins may feature here or come to the Item Shop at a later date. Right now, the closest thing to them is the Nike Cortez Leather OG Kicks, but they’re still missing from the Item Shop since September 12, 2025, according to FortniteGG.

Our first look at Marty’s skin first came during candid snapshots of the lobby screen from Epic Games’ recent ‘Now Playing’ event, with Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman in attendance to promote Kill Bill’s presence in-game. Now, a supposed leak at the next season’s key art gives us our best glimpse yet.

With The Bride at his side, it looks like a VHS camcorder Harvesting Tool could be on the cards. If we get variants of Marty based on his journey to 2015 or the Old West, I’ll be very happy. Throw in a hoverboard traversal emote, too.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: Where is the Delorean? Don’t you worry about that; it’s confirmed by leaker ‘HYPEX‘ to be coming alongside Marty McFly. Like previous vehicles, it’s likely going to be in the Item Shop, and it won’t be cheap. You can expect to spend at least 2500 to 3000 V-Bucks on a vehicle bundle in Fortnite, so let’s hope the Delorean is on the cheaper end.

However, if you own it already in Rocket League, there’s a strong chance you’ll get it in the battle royale game for free.
