The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is our favorite gaming foldable, and it’s got a huge discount for Black Friday

Foldables have long been the more expensive, technologically daring versions of the candybar-style handsets we’re used to. With weaker internal hardware and the fear of a broken hinge, it took years for them to become good enough for the masses, and fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is one of those cases. It’s an incredible foldable for gaming that I recommend to any tech-loving nerds like myself, and if you’re keen to join me on the folding side, this Black Friday discount isn’t one to miss.

While the flagship candybar handsets still dominate our best gaming phones list, foldables have come a long way since their initial debut. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts the brilliant, high-performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite that the standard Galaxy S25 line delivers, while also having a few tricks up its sleeve (or hinge) to make it worth the money.

Not only is there a decently sized 6.5-inch cover display for those quick texts to friends or a session of Pokémon Go, but there’s an expansive, vibrant 8-inch internal screen that’s perfect for those more intensive games or watching your favorite TV shows.
