99 Nights in the Forest class tier list

Here, we rank all of the classes based on how useful they are in the game. We recommend you save your diamonds for the higher-ranking classes. However, keep in mind that how valuable a class is often depends on the playstyle of both you and your teammates, so feel free to experiment and try whatever looks the most interesting – as long as you’ve got the diamonds, that is!

Here’s our 99 Nights in the Forest class tier list:

Rank 99 Nights in the Forest classes
S Alien, Assassin, Big Game Hunter, Cyborg, Necromancer,  Poison Master, Pyromaniac
A Beastmaster, Berserker, Blacksmith, Brawler, Chef, Fire Bandit, Lumberjack, Ranger, Vampire
B Base Defender, Gambler, Hunter, Medic, Support, Undead, Zookeeper
C Camper, Cook, Decorator, Farmer, Fisherman, Scavenger

What’s the best 99 Nights in the Forest class?

Many players consider Cyborg to be the best class in 99 Nights in the Forest. It starts off with the powerful alien armor and laser cannon, which is an incredibly strong combo, allowing you to both tank and dish out a heap of damage.

Alien is also a great alternative to Cyborg, as it also provides you with a powerful piece of alien tech through the raygun starter gear. While it’s not quite as powerful as the Cyborg, it’s significantly cheaper, and the unlock requirements for its level two and three perks are pretty easy to get.

If you enjoy summon-focused classes, we recommend aiming for Necromancer, which allows you to revive any cultists that you or your allies defeat and use them against your enemies. It also has brilliant night vision at level three, allowing you to keep an eye out for any threats in the dark.

If you’re just starting out, you should consider saving up for the Ranger class. For a surprisingly low cost of 70 diamonds, you get to start off with not only a flashlight, but also a revolver and 18 ammo, allowing you to take down enemies from a safe distance. The level one and two perks also help keep you stocked up on ammo longer.

If you find yourself dying a lot, you could always go for the Undead class, which gives you a permanent bonus every time you revive, allows your teammates to revive you instantly at level two, and even lets you move around after you die at level three, meaning you’ll put much less of a strain on your allies.

Overall, the best class for you depends on your personal preferences and playstyle. We generally recommend going for classes in the S or A tiers of our tier list, but many of the lower-ranking classes can also be viable depending on circumstances.

How do I unlock 99 Nights in the Forest classes?

You can unlock 99 Nights in the Forest classes by spending diamonds at the general store in the lobby. The general store restocks once every 24 hours, and the stock is random. You get one free chance to reroll the stock each day, but after that, you need to spend 99 Robux to reroll again.

The only exception to this are the event classes, which are generally only available from the event-limited shop in exchange for a special event currency. Once the event ends, you can no longer get them.

How do I level up my 99 Nights in the Forest class?

All classes start at level one, and you must complete specific requirements to unlock level two and three and earn the respective perks. We’ve noted the level one and two requirements for each of the classes above, but generally, they revolve around performing skills and killing enemies in a way that ties to the individual class’s abilities.

What are 99 Nights in the Forest talents?

Talents are perks from other classes and levels that you can add to a class of your choice. It costs 60 diamonds to unlock them for a class, and you can reroll them for 30 diamonds. The rarity of a talent depends on the class’s star rating, so you have a much higher chance of getting a talent from a one-star class than a five-star class.
