How do I get more units in Anime Vanguards?
To get more units in Anime Vanguards, you need to go to the Summon Portal at the game’s hub world. At the start of the game, you can choose between three beginner characters: Luffo, Narutu, or Ichiga. Once you’ve picked your first unit, head to the Summon Portal in the main hub to recruit more. Each summon costs 50 gems, which you can earn by playing regularly or by using codes for extra rewards.
It’s worth talking to every NPC you find, since many of them give gems after your first conversation. You can also visit places like the Evolve building and interact with the desks inside for more free gems. After that, the most reliable way to build up your gem count is by completing quests and progressing through the story.

How do I upgrade units in Anime Vanguards?
Be prepared to store a lot of gold, because upgrading units in Anime Vanguards isn’t cheap. To upgrade units, you need to head to the upgrades room in the game’s main hub. Here, you can tinker with rerolling stats, evolving your units, ascending them, or even corrupting them. There’s a crafting bench in this area, should you require additional resources.
However, be warned, upgrading units in Anime Vanguards is a very item-consuming process. You’ll need to grind for a couple of hours, depending on how much you’re aiming to upgrade a specific unit. If you can’t find the upgrades hub, here’s how to locate it:
- Launch Anime Vanguards in Roblox
- Walk forwards
- Look for the purple upgrades area at the bottom right of the hub
- Enter the door
- You’re now in the upgrades area
What are the best units in Anime Vanguards?
All of the S-rank units are top-tier picks in our Anime Vanguards tier list, so it’s worth experimenting to find which one fits your playstyle best. That said, Igros (Elite Knight) stands out as a huge recommendation from Pocket Tactics, thanks to his massive attack power and the way he ramps up damage even more when facing bosses.
What are the secret units in Anime Vanguards?
Yes, there are secret units to find. They’re even in the list above, but spotting them isn’t easy. There are two secret units in Anime Vanguards, and they are Alocard and Igros.
If you’re trying to add Alucard to your roster in Anime Vanguards, you need to rely on the Summoning Zone. His drop rate is painfully low at under 1%, so expect to burn through a mountain of gems before luck finally swings your way. The best approach is to summon in batches of ten, as doing so slightly improves your odds of pulling a secret unit.

Keep in mind that Legend stages only become available once you’ve finished the story stages, and level three of Double Dungeon is a real test of strength.
