Where Winds Meet rewards curious players who interact with its world, but that curiosity sometimes comes with consequences. During your journey through the game’s WuXia landscape, you might find strange items lying around or receive mysterious objects from strangers you meet. These items offer a tempting opportunity—interact with them, and you could learn a powerful new skill. However, the process doesn’t always work as intended. Instead of gaining new abilities, your character may end up Spellbound and sick, which weakens your stats and makes survival harder.

The Spellbound condition comes in different levels of severity, and how you treat it depends on which level affects your character.

Level I and Level II Spellbound are minor cases that require little effort to fix. You can cure these simply by stepping into any body of water—rivers, lakes, or ponds work fine. If you don’t feel like searching for water, just wait it out. These lower levels will clear up on their own after some time passes.

Level III, Level IV, and higher Spellbound are more serious and won’t go away by themselves. These levels need active treatment, and you have several options depending on whether you prefer playing with others or going solo.

The fastest way to cure higher-level Spellbound is through multiplayer cooperation. You can either join another player’s world or invite someone into yours. Once you’re together, they can help cure your condition. This method works quickly and gets you back into action without much downtime.

If you prefer handling things alone, you still have ways to fix Spellbound without relying on other players. You can search the world for special machines or visit shops to buy items designed for curing ailments. These solutions require some exploration and possibly spending in-game currency, but they work without needing another person’s help.

A more reliable solo option is the bounty system. Open the bounty interface, write down your illness details, and spend one bounty token to post your request. Once posted, wait to see if another player online notices your bounty and comes to assist. This method connects you with helpful players even when you’re not actively in a group.

If you post a bounty but no players respond within the time limit, don’t panic. After the 30-minute countdown finishes, an AI helper called Physician Zhang will automatically appear and cure your Spellbound. This system makes sure you’re never permanently stuck with the condition, even if you’re playing during off-peak hours when fewer players are online.
