Hunty Zombie perks guide
If you want to be good at this action-packed combat game, you’re going to need to familiarize yourself with the Hunty Zombie perks. Each one can give you slightly different advantages against the masses of zombies you’ll face, and so it’s important you roll for the right one. Plus, it’s fun to experiment with different combinations of weapons, given that you can unlock multiple slots for both.
Perks can be attained via spins or lucky spins, which you can buy or get for free via Hunty Zombie codes. Alongside perks, it can be difficult to tell which traits, weapons, and pets you should be aiming to get, so you may need the help of a Hunty Zombie tier list to navigate your way through the hordes of undead beasts and survive until that all-important helicopter rescue.
Here’s everything in our Hunty Zombie perks guide:
What are perks?
Perks in Hunty Zombie are additional abilities that you can use sporadically. Some of them are defense-based and offer healing, damage resistance, or enemy delays, while some are about damage boosting and critical rates. You can only equip one at a time, but there are multiple save slots available if you want to switch between them.
Many perks have great synergy with pets, weapons, and traits, so we’ve compiled a handy guide to the perks and all the things you need to know about them to complete the best build possible.
Rarity
You’ll notice that each Hunty Zombie perk has a different rarity, and each rarity comes with a percentage chance to obtain the perk. The percentages for normal spins are listed below, as well as lucky spins, which guarantee an Epic perk or higher.
| Rarity | Percentage chance (normal spin) | Percentage chance (lucky spin) |
| Rare | 60 | N/A |
| Epic | 30 | 60 |
| Legendary | Four | 37 |
| Mythic | 0.5 | Three |
Rolling for perks couldn’t be easier, as you’ll see a ‘perks’ menu in the game. Add your new perks to a save slot and roll on if you want to hit the higher rarity ones.

Hunty Zombie perk info
Adrenaline
Effect: Increases attack speed by 50% for 12 seconds
Rarity: Legendary
Adrenaline is a trait that’s all about speed. They can’t hit you if they can’t catch you, right? For that reason, it can pair well with the Shoes weapon, since if you really want to run circles around them, you have the added bonus of movement speed from that. However, Adrenaline can work with a defensive or offensive build, as it’s all about getting in and out quickly. If you’re struggling to use your Bow, Adrenaline could also do wonders, as you’ll need to sprint away from enemies to use the ranged weapon.
Berserk
Effect: Increase attack power for 20 seconds
Rarity: Rare
While being one of the weaker perks, Berserk can be a decent option if you don’t have enough rolls to get the Mythic DoubleDmg, which is the better but extremely rare version of Berserk. Generally, as the rarity tier would suggest, we’d want to aim a little higher, so we recommend you go for Critical instead of this. You can grab Critical using a lucky spin.
Critical
Effect: Increases critical chance by 15% for one minute
Rarity: Legendary
Critical does what it says on the tin. If you’re looking into weapons that are rapid-fire, like the Dual Guns, you want to try for Critical because of the one minute time limit on this ability. On the other hand, it may be less suited to a slower attack speed weapon, so keep that in mind.
Damageshield
Effect: All allies gain haste for 30 seconds and additional defense for 15 seconds
Rarity: Mythic
Damageshield is a great defensive option due to its AoE and general strength in keeping the team safe and healthy. It goes wonderfully with a Bat pet to keep you nice and healthy, and/or the Anchor weapon, which, due to its extremely slow attack speed, could do with some defense to pair alongside it.
DoubleDmg
Effect: All allies gain level 2 strength for 30 seconds
Rarity: Mythic
DoubleDmg is another extremely rare but valuable perk. It charges every time you hit an enemy, meaning you can oftentimes have it recharged by the end of its duration, creating a de facto perma-buff. It’s great for co-op modes due to its AoE, but you’ll want to avoid it during solo campaigns because it has no defensive utility – unless, of course, you possess a defensive or healing-based pet.
Flame
Effect: Hits set zombies on fire, dealing damage over time
Rarity: Epic
Flame can give you a boost if you’re looking to chip away at enemies over time, due to fire’s burning effects. It doesn’t have amazing synergy with anything particularly, but it’s a solid option if you’re looking to cause some chaos and blaze through the crowds.
Healer
Effect: Slowly restores health over time
Rarity: Epic
Easily the weaker of the two perks that offer healing, Healer is the poor man’s Vampire, but sue me, I love a heal in a game. This perk can be invaluable if you’re using a weapon that leaves you open and vulnerable to attack. I’m talking weapons that are close-range or have slow attack speed. Even if you’re not using any weapons like that, everybody loves a heal, so this perk is always a solid one if you can’t get your hands on the ultra-rare upgrade.
Last Hope
Effect: Electrifies zombies near you, staggering and damaging them
Rarity: Legendary
Last Hope is reminiscent of Flame, but it has an additional staggering effect, which can buy you valuable time in a pinch. Readjust your position on the field or create some distance between you and the zombies – whatever works. While Last Hope is by no means the strongest perk, it has its uses, particularly with ranged combat.

ReduceDmg
Effect: Reduces incoming damage by 20% for 30 seconds
Rarity: Legendary
ReduceDmg is the latest Hunty Zombie perk, and it’s all about defense. While the perk has a cooldown of 50 seconds, its 30-second defense buff proves to be hugely useful in situations of overwhelming numbers or a particularly difficult section of a boss fight. You can pair this with just about anything, so long as you have enough attack power to get the job done without relying on your perk for offense.
Undead
Effect: Increase movement speed and reduce skill cooldown
Rarity: Legendary
Undead is useful, as you may suspect, when you have weapons that have long skill cooldowns, plus, its movement speed is a cool added bonus. Practically any weapon that’s really strong will have a long cooldown to balance it out, including the Anchor and the Ghost.
Vampire
Effect: Each time you hit, you do damage over time, heal, and increase your movement speed
Rarity: Mythic
Vampire remains the best perk in the entire game. Something that provides damage, healing, and movement speed all in one is good for any kind of playstyle, and Vampire’s versatility makes it the instant best perk. The difference between this and the Healer is that you have to hit enemies to receive ten health points with Vampire, as opposed to the Healer’s automatic heal. It’s a small price to pay, in our opinion, since you can get value out of this perk regardless.
