Persona 5: The Phantom X Introduces New Gacha Feature: Pull One Character, Get Another Free

Persona 5: The Phantom X is introducing an unusual gacha feature with its version 4.7.1 update that gives players two new characters when they successfully pull for one.

The update arrives in two parts on November 27 and December 11, 2025, introducing 5-star versions of party members Shoki Ikenami (codename: Luce) and Shun Kano (codename: Soy). According to information shared on Reddit, when players pull for one character, they automatically receive the other for free. This deal applies twice and extends to their signature weapons as well—pulling for Luce’s weapon grants Soy’s weapon, and vice versa.

These mark the first male characters added to the game in some time. Reddit users note that the duo works well together in combat, with Soy being particularly notable as the first character to use the “Gun” element in Persona 5: The Phantom X. The November 27 update brings a major story continuation for chapter 4, while the December 11 release adds a Christmas event. Perfect World Games also revealed during their live stream that an art book for the game is currently in production.

For players outside the CN/TW/KR regions, Reddit community members indicate the new gacha feature in Persona 5: The Phantom X will arrive in approximately one year, as the global schedule runs slightly behind these versions. The CN/TW/KR servers are also receiving a guaranteed weapon banner system and sweep functionality in the near future.
