This time last year, we had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Asus ROG Phone 9, which went on to be one of the best gaming phones of 2025. Cut to twelve months later, and we still haven’t heard anything about the Asus ROG Phone 10, at least, not officially. A new rumor suggests that the Android flagship is coming soon and could boast some impressive upgrades.

According to a Weibo leak from tipster Smart Pikachu, the ROG Phone 10 series is “on its way.” Not only that, but the leaker details some of the anticipated specs, most notably pointing to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as the chip powering performance. That’s what we were anticipating, given that it’s Qualcomm’s latest processor, and last year’s ROG Phone 9 also packed the latest chip at the time of release. The Elite Gen 5 should offer a significant boost to performance, though, so it’s still worth getting excited about.

Outside of its processor, Smart Pikachu also suggests that the ROG Phone 10 is coming with upgraded heat dissipation and a high refresh rate, but there isn’t much in the way of details there. The Weibo post also doesn’t point to a specific date or time frame for the launch of the new gaming phone, so that remains a mystery.

In our Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro review, we gave the Android a stellar 9/10 score, highlighting its “best-in-class performance” and “stunning 185Hz AMOLED display.” We’re hoping for more of the same with this year’s model, especially considering how impressed we were with the ROG Phone’s main competitor, the RedMagic 11 Pro. The specs so far sound like we could be in for another top-tier option for those who want the best performance in all the best mobile games, but we’ll have to wait to get our hands on the phone to know for sure.

Finally, it’s worth noting that this is just a rumor, so it’s worth taking the details surrounding the ROG Phone 10 with a pinch of salt until we get word from Asus itself. With that said, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the tech brand’s socials from now on, just in case a big reveal is imminent.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
