You can get a free Fortnite The Simpsons Glider right now, if you know where to look
I’ll get this off my chest right now: Epic Games is cooking with this season of Fortnite. With loading queues and excitement surrounding the debut of The Simpsons Fortnite update, it’s a great time to drop back into the island. However, I fear for my V-Bucks with all the The Simpsons skins available in the Item Shop or on the Battle Pass. Luckily, there’s a free Kang and Kodos Glider that you can claim right now – there’s just one small catch.
If you haven’t made your way to The Simpsons Fortnite map yet, then what are you doing? The entirety of Springfield is waiting for you to explore, my friends. Bart Simpson is donning a mech suit, Ned Flanders is keeping things wholesome, and you can even spot Kang and Kodos flying around the town from time to time. For fans of the alien duo, you can claim a free Kang and Kodos Glider in Fortnite, as long as you connect your Epic Games and MyDisney accounts before February 28, 2026.
No, that doesn’t mean you need to take out an active Disney Plus subscription or anything like that. Creating a MyDisney account is completely free, just like owning an Epic Games account, too. However, if you’re not sure about how to connect your MyDisney details to Fortnite, then don’t worry. I can help you navigate the endless tabs of Fortnite Creative experiences or menu settings to get it set up.
- Head to the official Epic Games website, log in with your email or PlayStation / Xbox / Nintendo account
- Go to your Linked Accounts page. Tap the option that says ‘Link’ under the ‘MyDisney Account’ button
- When the MyDisney prompt to connect your account appears, click the button to ‘Connect Account’
- This will open a new tab in your internet browser, go to this tab, and accept the prompt to ‘Link Accounts’
- Once it completes, a message will say that ‘Your MyDisney Account is linked’, and it will appear in your Linked Accounts page

After you have finished those steps above, the next time you boot up the battle royale game, the Kang and Kodos glider will automatically add itself to your locker. Not too difficult, right? You’re saving a few V-Bucks in the process, considering that Gliders typically cost at least 500 V-Bucks in the Item Shop. You may as well save that for all the Fortnite skins yet to be released over the next few weeks, while The Simpsons are here to play.
There’s plenty to check out beyond Homer’s antics, whether you’re getting your Fortnite Steam Deck grind in or a quick session on your Nintendo Switch. Epic Games is facing an issue with the Fortnite Augury skin, and it doesn’t look like it will be fixed anytime soon. At least there’s time to grab some Fortnite codes until then.
